Meditation is passed on individually, one to one.
You are taught the technique at a single session during a simple ceremony. You then need to come back a minimum of three times over a period of two weeks to meditate with someone who has been practising for several years, and to discuss your experiences with them. This enables you to establish the practice and to clear any queries or problems with the technique.
Once the practice has taken root you are invited to continue coming back for guidance at regular intervals. As with learning a musical instrument there is no point at which you can suddenly "do" it. Deepening and refining the practice is a continuous process, which is helped by use of the guidance and experience provided by the school.
For those who wish, weekly meetings are also available so that anyone receiving the meditation can not only meditate with others and share their experiences, but also hear and consider the knowledge and teaching behind the meditation which is both simple and profound, as well as practical. This double aspect of meditation and knowledge has given a depth of understanding and inner discovery to hundreds of people who have found a new dimension and purpose in their lives.
