Although the method we teach originated in a centuries-old tradition that arose in India, it was adapted to be given to people in the West at the end of the 1950s.
All true methods of meditation lead to the same point, but many involve disciplines, physical postures or large amounts of time that do not fit easily into the lives of most people living in the West today. The technique we teach is very simple; it involves no demanding physical postures, chanting or complex mental procedures. It can be followed by anybody. At its core is a mantra, a sound, that you repeat silently to yourself bringing body, mind and spirit into an harmonious whole.
