In meditation one experiences a sense of ease, clarity and profound rest. This is then carried into our everyday life, producing a feeling of greater space, with less rush, less pressure.
At first, what you discover will depend on your individual personality and needs. For example, those who feel hemmed in sense more space and freedom, those who are tense feel more relaxed, those who are inclined to dream are more alert. After the technique is established it can take you deeper to the inner aspect of being that is always the same, not disturbed by anything.
What you find may seem new and fresh but at the same time it will seem to be familiar and surprisingly within reach. Being centred in this way leads you to being more stable, confident, and at ease with yourself and the world. You find that here is the source of an inner strength to which, supported by inner knowledge and guidance, you remain connected whatever the circumstances and emotional demands of life. Most of all, it begins to give insight into the nature of human existence and such questions as, who am I, where have I come from, where am I going, and how do I relate to this world around me? This leads to the profoundest levels of self-discovery.
